PBX (Private Branch Exchange), that is, the name given to the private telephone network used within a company. In the PBX phone system, users can use several external phone lines to make phone calls other than the domestic line.

PBX Systems can be grouped in two main groups:
Analog PBX systems:
Analog systems use analog components to handle a call. As soon as the calling user picks up the phone, an entry / exit signal is sent to the PBX server, which is usually a computer. After the signal is sent to the master control, a dial tone is returned from the system. Then the user who receives the dial tone dials the phone number of the person he wants to call. This search phase is made in the caller's speech path on internal cables.
These digits (pulse) or toning (tone) are sent to the telephone system over cables. After that, the telephone system does its part and transmits the request it has produced in accordance with the architecture to the line group (trunk) card. The line group card serves the interface and makes a request for the outbound tone towards the head office. Then, upon meeting the dial tone on the interface of the PBX line group card, it sends these digits to the head office over the line by reproducing the tone or pulse.
Digital PBX systems:
They are connected to a digital PBX telecommunications company through a line group circuit called Direct Outward Dial DOD. Generally used digital PBX exchanges are systems that provide 256 digital voice and data stations with 24 digital line groups operating over the T1 carrier system. In addition, it can be used in small PBX exchanges. An average small PBX PBX supports 30 stations, but can be easily expanded depending on the company's evolving needs.
